now that the holidays are firmly behind us, the kiddos are back in school & daytime television is boring again, it’s time for another totally awesome craft swap!
back in the summer, i hosted the first marine parents craft swap — a DIY pinterest gift swap. it was so much fun swapping crafty gifts with someone else & getting to know a new person that i’ve decided to host a second swap with a new theme.
if you’re anything like me, your new year’s resolution sounded something like ‘save more, spend less’ – this craft swap fits perfectly into this thrifty mindset! spend no more than $5 on a special craft for a new, special friend [oh, && receive a very special $5 craft in exchange!].
i know you are thinking that crafting is NOT cheap, which is so true in most cases. this craft swap is designed with creativity in mind! i’ve perused pinterest for a few totally awesome & insanely cheap ideas to get your crafty minds churning for an idea! take a peek….

obviously pinterest is bursting at the seams with lots of thrifty crafts & i know you’ll be able to come up with something totally amazing! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that even though this swap is only supposed to cost you $5 + a little for shipping, you still need to send something amazing to your partner. please don’t be careless in your crafting!! send something that you would be thrilled to receive yourself [with the $5 limit mindset, of course]. it’s only fair to you, your partner & all of the participants :]

not to be a debbie downer — but if you did not send a package or were unfashionably late sending a gift to your partner from the last swap i hosted, please do not sign up for this one as you are on my naughty list & will not be paired with a partner. i had to chase people down to get packages mailed & that is zero fun for me, you or your partner. if you’re bummed about this little snag in participating, think about how your partner felt when she didn’t receive anything from you during the last swap. yeah….

What a fun idea! I have a few things already bouncing around in my head depending upon what I think my partner will like best! I a so looking forward to making 2013 a craftier year, and this is the perfect way to kick that off!
