this past week, the weather has been wonderful — it’s only rained once {which is a nice break from the few weeks before that when we had two typhoons pass by}. last saturday we gathered up some beach gear at the PX {um…. the exchange / the mini-walmart for the military} for a spur of the moment beach trip. we headed to kadena marina & enjoyed some much needed fresh air & sunshine!
a family we know on the island just moved back to the states & so they asked if we would take their fish. amelia is in LOVE with her “sishy” & gets excited to go look at it every morning. the poor thing is scared to death of any little noise, so having a two year old around might just kill the fish before long…. i guess we’ll wait & see.
i’ve been working on trying some new recipes over the last week — i didn’t realize until the end of the week as i was surveying the leftovers in the fridge that i made ALOT of pasta dishes. they were SO yummy though! this one was a favorite from kevinandamanda.com — the spicy sausage pasta. so quick, easy & satisfying. you definitely want to try this yummy recipe!
i met up with a new friend {another military wife from instagram!!!} & she took amelia & i along with her daughter to a few parks out in town. the parks are so cool — each one is themed differently with lots of places to run & play. we visited a pirate ship park as well as this dragon park. this enormous dragon is a slide — can you see just how big it is by referencing the trees & cars in the background?!
i’ve been working harder than ever in my studio to put out a ton of new products perfect for summer. lots of pinks, limes, & yellows. amelia took an extra long nap the other day & so i was able to whip up this little beauty — a hot pink chevron small pouch adorned with a super soft double stacked ruffle in lime. oh by still my heart! i love the pink + lime trend happening right now! ♥
i also added a ton of make-up bags in pretty designer prints — bring on summer vacation & traveling!! your make up can travel in style now *wink*
amelia has recently perfected the pouty face. she puppy dogs her eyes & begs in silence {or not so silence, sometimes….}. she also pouts when she’s upset — peeking up through her long baby eyelashes & sticking out her lower lip. it is so hard for me not to laugh…. being a serious mom to a manipulative toddler is way harder than i ever imagined!

the parks are insane — there is one we are going to try to find that has CONVEYOR BELTS on their slides!!! you can take cardboard, trays, etc & slide down super fast. may not be quite up amelia’s alley, but definitely for me & caleb!
Your daughter is adorable and I love that cute pouch you made. I can’t believe you just whipped that up during nap time.
