hi friends!! i hope you are all having a great week…. mine has been so busy trying to finish up sewing {orders, dresses, fun things}, meeting up for coffee with a new friend, responding to a ridiculous amount of emails that decided to flood my inbox & schedule lots of guest posts for this coming week….
that’s right, guest posts! squeeee!!
we are leaving tomorrow {very early….. very early} to fly to nebraska for a week full of visiting family & caleb’s ten year high school reunion. so i’ve got some really awesome bloggers to introduce you to while i’m gone. they are going to share lots of information, advice, funny stories and cute pictures all related to traveling with children. i’ve loved getting a little sneak peek into these posts before scheduling them so i can learn a few new tricks to keep amelia occupied while on the plane. you definitely don’t want to miss any of these posts!
and speaking of keeping amelia occupied…. i’ve been sewing & crafting like a mad woman making new things for amelia. i made a fun little vlog to show you what all i’ve created for amel!
i am loving that little busy book!! i can’t wait to add more pages as amelia grows <3 go ahead and head over to the darling joni’s blog and check out her “craft” tab where you can see all of the pages of her daughter’s felt busy book — that woman is amazing!! i am definitely coming home from nebraska & making a snap-on nemo page! love it :]
as promised, here are links to the tutorials i used for everything….
crayon roll {a hybrid of two tutorials} –
skip to my lou — on a roll
the pleated poppy – crayon roll tutorial
toddler backpack
indietutes — toddler backpack pattern
{or if you want a zippered pack, i also found this pattern that is cheap….}
made by rae — toddler backpack pattern
the busy book
mouse house — my busy book

so now i’m off to tackle the piles of laundry, dishes & toys lying about the apartment. i need to dig out the duffel bag & get some clean clothes and a set of hot rollers tossed in {because that’s all you really need, right?} before we fly away to the humid midwest for a week. but before that, you know i gotta have some silly time with my gorgeous little princess….
care to share any last minute travel advice before our plane takes off?
i’d love to learn from the pros…. *ahem* you!!
